The main aim of my work is the successful creation of still and moving artworks, based on the study of natural phenomena and landscape. There are two distict objectives in these works: one to realise works which stand in their own right as artworks (both as still and moving image) and two to utilise computer graphics in an innovative manner. The works explore the area between realism, exploring the tools now available in a three dimensional computer animation system for these purposes, and abstraction, focusing on the aspects of light, colour and movement. All these works are generated within the three dimensional computer animation system without any photographic input.

The interest is in using computer graphics techniques which deliver surface shapes and colour without revealing the process of making these shapes and colours. The concern is not paint marks or pixels but colour and light.

The animated sequences are on a DVD format, to be displayed on Plasma screens. The Prints are produced by inkjet with archival, pigment based inks on watercolour paper or aluminium.
